New Kayaks Added to the Fleet

When your company is called Kayak Guatemala, it's no surprise that kayaking remains our first love.

This year we've added five new single kayaks to the fleet, along with new life jackets and three new double kayaks purchased in 2025.

What's New?

Five New Single Kayaks (March 2026)

  • 2 Perception Conduit 13
  • 2 Perception Flash 9.5
  • 1 Wilderness Systems Pungo

Three New Double Kayaks (2025)

These additions bring our fleet to:

  • 17 single kayaks
  • 9 double kayaks
  • 10 stand-up paddleboards
  • Capacity for up to 35 guests

Why Different Kayaks?

Not every kayak is designed for the same type of paddler.

Longer kayaks are ideal for experienced paddlers. They are faster, track better, carry more gear, and perform well on longer trips and rougher water.

Shorter kayaks are easier to maneuver and are often the best choice for beginners.

Having a variety of boats allows us to match guests with the kayak that suits them best.

New Life Jackets

We've also replaced many of our older life jackets with new models as part of our ongoing effort to keep our equipment in top condition.

More Boats May Be Coming

Before purchasing additional kayaks, we'll spend a few months testing these new models on Lake Atitlán. If they perform as well as we expect, you'll likely see more of them joining the fleet.

Available on Tours and Rentals

All of these kayaks are available on our guided kayak tours and for hourly rentals.

After more than 20 years paddling Lake Atitlán, I still believe there's no better way to experience the lake than from a kayak. We're committed to maintaining the best and most diverse kayak fleet on the lake, and these additions are another step in that direction.

See you on the water.
