Highly recommend this experience to connect with a traditional and sacred ceremony. The cave itself was a powerful place and our guide Alex was really amazing. He shared lots of wisdom, knowledge and encouraged questions. We had such a great experience, we invited him to join us for dinner afterwards and he took us to a great local restaurant and continued to share his amazing knowledge. Super grateful and glad i booked this experience and hope to bring others to do this in the future when back around the Lake.

Unforgettable experience with Alicia!
What an amazing experience!! Alicia is an incredible host and she loves sharing her culture with visitors. She is a wonderful teacher and a lovely person. She works with her family (her sons often translate in English) and you can see how much love and pride go into the experience. She explains all of the ingredients that are used in the Mayan cuisine you will cook and shares her recipes and her life story with you. It was an unforgettable experience.

Raquel was an incredible host to my sister and me. I felt so cared for and warm by the end!! Such a relaxing, domestic experience. You learn all about the history of Temazcal and then get to experience the sauna in her home. When we got hot and needed to step out for a bit, she had lemonade ready for us. Then went back in a couple of times. So relaxing and healing. The dinner afterwards was lovely, and we seriously felt so warm and cozy inside 😍 Thank you Raquel!

This was an exceptional experience. Lee made getting from our lodging to Santa Cruz very easy and was excellent in communicating. Alicia led a fantastic cooking class and Vanessa was an amazing translator. We cooked jocon de pollo, tamalitas de chipilin, guisquil, rice with vegetables- traditional recipes and utterly delicious

Spiritual ceremony in Maya cave
Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Alex was our guide, he was great. He made it very fun with his humor throughout our hike. He also explained the culture and Maya spirituality.
